How are Japan’s 47 Prefectures?
Let's get things straight. I love traveling, and I love Japan. Therefore to combine these statements, I decided to *F* it, and why not just travel and see at all what Japan has to offer? This post will always be updated and will be random shots I took when I try to travel to all 47 prefectures of Japan. (Therefore I apologize if there is a huge between nicely taken pictures and with ones that are just random shots)
Fun fact, in Japanese "Prefectures," is known as 都道府県, read: todōfuken. This refer to for types of administrative area distinctions:
- 1 metropolis prefecture (都, to) which is Metropolitan Tokyo (東京都, Tōkyō-to)
- 1 circuit/territorial prefecture(道, dō) which is Hokkaido Pref. (北海道, Hokkaidō)
- 2 urban prefectures (府, fu) which are Metropolitan Osaka (大阪府, Ōsaka-fu) and Metropolitan Kyoto (京都府, Kyōto-fu)
- 43 proper prefectures (県, ken), which are the remaining prefectures I didn't mention above.
