View of Bugis+ in Bugis Street, SG
It turns out that not all anime are based in Japan. This is the first anime find that is located outside of Japan, Singapore to be exact. I was surprised that it was located near my home country, so when I had time visiting Singapore, I was able to do this pilgrimage trip. By the way, Plastic Memories is is highly recommended if you enjoy bitter sweet anime (might need to prepare tissues while watching all along though). |
1. Liang Seah Street
The first location I visited was around Liang Seah street. I think the same building around this area has been repainted, so it might not be too similar.

2. Bugis+
The next spot I visited was located at the Bugis Plus shopping center at the Bugis Street.

3. Chinatown Point
The third location I visited was around Chinatown station and the nearby Chinatown Point shopping center.

At the back of the shopping mall, I found a staircase nearby local HDB, which was also shown within the anime.

4. Hong Lim Complex Cross Road
The next spot I visited was a crossroad located nearby the Hong Lim Complex.
There was a scene shot in front of Liberty Insurance company building shown in the anime.
6. Holland Road Shopping Center
The next spot that I visited was the a rather old looking shopping center located at the Holland Ave.

The final place I visited was the Garden by the Bay, located at the Marina Bay. This place inspired that amusement park Isla and Tsukasa visited.
