Anime Travel 18 – Fate Stay Night in Real Life

The famous Kobe Bridge

Apart from the usual chill slice-of-life trope, I also dig one of the most well-known action battle anime franchise by the name of the "Fate" series, well mostly the main one (the original one?) Fate Stay Night. This series might by very confusing as even the main one have 3 different parallel works based on the main heroine on each depiction. We can find the classic Fate Route with Saber, the badass Unlimited Blade Works with Tohksaka Rin, and the darker tone of Heaven's Feel with Sakura Matou. I like all of these as they have their own charm.

By the way, the fictional city where this series based on called "Fuyuki City" was solely based around Sannomiya Area of Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture.

1. Port Island Kita Park

The first place that I visited was I think the most iconic spot of the anime. This is located under the bridge that connected port island with mainland Kobe, by the name of Kobe Bridge.

2. Weathercock House

It was quiet rare that we find English names in Japan. However, if you ever find yourself exploring Kobe city, you can find lots of western style building around the top of the Sannomiya hills. For Weathercock House, it is the depiction of Tohsaka family's manor where Rin and Archer lives.

3. Uroko House

The third place that I visited was the one building that is became the inspiration of Matou's family manor, where Sakura, Rider, and the "wakame boy" Shinji lives. We can see the interior of the house, but seemingly it's used as the inspiration of Rin's house interior instead.

4. Oda House Nagayamon

The final spot that I visited was unlike the first two building, was a rather Japanese style house which where Shiro Emiya and Saber's house looks like. The house is rather far, located near Akashi Station.
