Anime Travel 11 – Oreimo in Real Life
Chiba Monorail in front of Sogo in real life |
I will have a little confession to make. Like many anime fans of the early 2010-ish generation, they started with what others might consider "crap". As the famous anime YouTuber Gigguk once said, "This anime is trash, but so am I", I also started obsessed with the anime world right after finished watching Oreimo and I am not proud of it. But at least, living in Japan in two years let me at least visit the real live places where this anime is based upon. And let me share this post to everyone.
The place is located around Chiba city, Chiba Pref. which I find quite convenient since I lived near Kinshicho St., only few stations away from Chiba using JR Sobu Kaisoku Line.
1. Chiba Station
The first location that I visited was around Chiba Station. I suspect that this should be the central station for Chiba City and Chiba Prefecture.

2. Chiba Park
Not far from Chiba Station, I walked to Chiba Park. There were many memorable date scenes we can find in the anime.

3. Chiba Commercial High School
The next spot I visited was Kyosuke's school, which was based on Chiba Commercial High School.

4. Makuhari Funada Mariato Baseball Park
This final spot that I visited was the park where my favorite best girl Ayase and Kyosuke usually interact. This one was quite far away from the other places but I knew I cannot afford to miss this one.

I would like to thank the kind bloggers who helped me find these locations. You can find the source posts here:
