Anime Travel 32 - Overtake! in Real Life
The view of Mt. Fuji from Gotemba City |
Overtake! is another anime like Summertime Rendering where I visited the location before actually watching the anime. Turned out it was actually a good hidden gem about a small Formula Four racing from Gotemba, fighting against team with huge sponsorship funding. As you know, the place I visited was Gotemba, a beautiful city north side of Mt. Fuji.
1. JR Gotemba Station
The first spot I visited was nearby JR Gotemba station. If you exit the south gate of the station and head right, you can find a small park that a steam locomotive park.

2. Mount Fuji Observation Deck Parking Building
From the station, turn left and walkthrough a pedestrian bridge, you can find a parking building that has a Mt. Fuji observation deck.

3. Onoen Tea Shop & BECFIN Bakery
Walk toward the town to find a tea store by the name of Onoen (JP: 小野園). This store was one of the local sponsor of Komaki Racing Team.
There was a not-too-big pachinko building where it was shown in the anime by the name Pachinko Monaco.
5. Kitō Motors
The final spot I visited where Komaki Motors workshop was based on. The garage was called Kitō Motors.
