Anime Travel 17 - Saekano in Real Life

 

Iconic Nozokizaka Slope

By most of previous posts in this blog, you might be able to guess that I like the simple and oversaturated high-school harem romance. I have a suggestion, why don't we add another to the list. Now it's the turn yet another iconic show of the trope, Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend (JP: 冴えない彼女の育て方, Saenai Hiroin no Sodatekata).

The story was quiet engaging as it revolves around a guy otaku called Aki Tomoya whom developed an indie doujin game circle with the well-known illustrator, genius novel writer, and a "girlfriend" with "boring" persona (Megumi best girl none-the-less, no debate).

Locations for Saekano can be found spread around Tokyo just like other normal anime, so it would not be too hard to find.

1. Nozokizaka Slope

I will start strong, but this I think is the most iconic location for the anime where Megumi standing at the top of the hill while project the image of "ideal"  girlfriend.

2. Gakushuinshita Station

Such mouthful station can be seen at the opening shot where a tram are about to pass the railroad crossing.

3. Akebonobashi

I forgot when in the anime this shot can be seen, but here we can see Utaha-senpai's shot in front of the Akebonobashi bridge.

4. Kyu-Furukawa Gardens

Such beautiful western style manor is depicted in the anime as Eriri's house. Just saying that you need to pay 150 JPY to enter the garden, but it was worthed.

5. Ikebukuro Pedestrian Bridge

There was a pedestrian bridge that was shown in the official banner of Saekano movie.
